Colorado Springs, CO -- Focus on the Family, a longtime partner of Dr. Emerson Eggerichs’ Love and Respect Marriage Conference, will help bring the event to New Life Church Nov. 16-17. Over 3,000 attendees are expected.
According to the State of Our Unions report, a publication of Rutgers University, though the divorce rate across America continues to drop, it still hovers around 40-50 percent. The chance of divorce, however, decreases when certain factors are involved, such as education, economic status and regular church attendance.
The “love and respect” model is highlighted by Dr. Eggerichs as a foundational aspect of marriage maintenance, and its message offers life-changing communication tools geared toward strengthening marriages. Couples with healthy relationships, as well as those struggling to keep their marriages together, will benefit from helpful concepts revealed by Dr. Eggerichs, such as the three basic principles to a happy and fulfilled marriage: the Crazy Cycle, the Energizing Cycle, and the Rewarded Cycle. “The truth is,” says Dr. Eggerichs, “many couples are inches away from making an adjustment that can set them in a whole new and positive course.”
Dr. Eggerichs holds a masters degree in communications from Wheaton Graduate School, a Master of Divinity degree from Dubuque Seminary and a doctorate degree in family and child ecology from Michigan State University. He left the pastorate in 1999 to launch the Love and Respect Marriage Conferences, which continue to impact thousands of people each year.
The “love and respect” message remains one of Focus on the Family’s most popular daily broadcasts. Tickets are $35 per person and can be purchased online at www.loveandrespect.com.
