Adventures in Odyssey Tops CBA’s May Audio Chart

Colorado Springs, CO – A lot has happened since Adventures in Odyssey celebrated its 20th birthday last November. The well-loved audio series produced by Focus on the Family continues to reach families worldwide and recently topped the May chart in the Audio category for CBA, the association of Christian retail. Adventures in Odyssey: The Sky’s the Limit charted above new audiobooks from authors such as Max Lucado, Joel Osteen and Beth Moore.
“We’re glad that our product has such a strong showing in the industry,” said Marshal Younger, producer of Adventures in Odyssey. “It’s exciting to watch how God is still making an impact with our show, even after 20 years.”
To close out a year-long 20th birthday celebration, Focus on the Family will host a Birthday Bash this summer at its Colorado Springs headquarters which will feature live performances from Adventures in Odyssey actors such as Katie Leigh (Connie Kendall), Will Ryan (Eugene Meltsner) and Dave Madden (Bernard Walton). The family event, taking place August 16, is open to the public and tickets are available at $10 per person.
The Birthday Bash will also celebrate the release of Adventures in Odyssey: The Official Guide, a 584-page book that offers a behind-the-scenes look at the series’ production process and includes actor photos and interviews.
Adventures in Odyssey presents exciting entertainment that brings moral and biblical principles to life. Set in small-town Odyssey, the show’s fun, memorable stories captivate kids ages 6 to 12—and the entire family. On the air since 1987, the audio drama plays on over 2,000 radio facilities in North America and in 89 foreign countries.
